Our philosophy is that children of all ages learn through play, and that hands-on exploration helps them learn and grow developmentally. Through play, children learn to pursue their interests, can develop skills at their own pace, and are able to learn to make decisions and solve problems.

The Ark’s programming is designed with the whole child in mind. Our programs are developed to increase cognitive, physical, communication and social skills. At The Ark, learning is supported in a pressure-free environment.
Grow
Opportunities to enjoy nature are everywhere in Telkwa, and we take advantage of these as often as possible. Children at our Outdoor School, for example, spend most of their time outside exploring the natural world. At The Ark, we believe that child-led exploration and discovery creates the groundwork for secure and self-assured young people.
